New Mokume-Gane is a totally new method to combine Art Clay Silver and Art Clay Copper.
Mokume-Gane is a technique that is hundreds of years old and was first used in Japan, for forging swords fittings.
“Mokume” means wood pattern and “Gane” a metal alloy of various metals, in this case, silver and copper.
It takes a lot of practice and time to apply the traditional technique of the old masters, therefore Aida – Japan developed a new method that makes it easier to make beautiful unique jewelry using this new technique.
