She has booked a workshop Art Clay Silver Gold Foil.
This isn’t particularly much in demand, great that the interest isn’t limited to working with silver clay.
There's stormy weather forecast and she already let me know through e-mail, not preferring to drive in such weather conditions. But yesterday afternoon, she reported nonetheless to come. Everything is ready, the workshop space is warm, waiting for Roxy.
And right on time she arrives at the right address. First a personally acquaintance while enjoying a cup of coffee and a freshly baked muffin. Roxy knows exactly what she wants and I can taste her enthusiasm. Lovely, we will make it an awesome day!
I explain to her the possibilities of silverclay, and with her ideas we are working towards the birth of two beautiful, slim, smooth rings. One with holes and one with a sweet little dot on the top of the ring. This dot she would like to cover with gold foil. That is still a chore. Due to the rounding, we opt for an attachment using the kiln. A hot plate heats somewhat less evenly, the kiln is more constant. And they turned out perfectly. Roxy is certainly not "bling bling" type, a matte finish is more her style.
Dear Roxanne, it was fun! How special that we have so much more in common. I enjoyed, in every way. Thanks for your dedication, enthusiasm and the nice talks. We're going to meet more often, I am convinced. Have fun coming month with the course at Edith in Hillegom. Just as with me, you're with her in good hands. Enjoy all the beautiful moments with metal clay, I warned you, you’ll get addicted! Hahaha
