And then today May 20, 2013, again 2nd Pentecost and we ride together again into the direction of Schoonhoven there to hold a stand on the Doelenplein, all in the sign of the famous annual Silver Day. Only today the sun fails and we are accompanied by drizzly rain. It's chilly - even almost cold - and gloomy.
This translates into a lower emergence than we are used to.
But, like other years, it feels good to give explanation of the unique silver to the always present ignorant. Unfortunately, the attempts to demosntration of the possibilities of/with silverclay are not fully reflected, even as the clay dries for shit ;-) by the damp weather! In order to transport the designs without too much damage home again, I introduce myself at one of our fellow exhibitors. They sell and rent commercial space, a whole different ballgame. Smart fast guys with one, yes one. . . patio heater! Super useful against the cold and drying silver clay.
Though withall, it's still been a successful and enjoyable day. Keeping yourself warm with coffee, Vietnamese spring rolls and chicken satay is no punishment, let's face it.
Purely as a precaution we are talking already for 2nd Pentecost 2014. Along with, or else at least next to our "friends" in a stand. They ensure the heater, we will arrange the wine!
