Due to the costly aspect, she has proposed first to attend a two-day workshop using this technique. Because Elsie comes all the way from Belgium, we offer her to stay over this weekend at our home. Sociable and useful,so there is more time transferring any additional information about this technique. For this a dinner on Sunday night is a great opportunity. We decided to spoil ourselves at Bar Brasserie & Terras “The Boterlap” on the cozy market square of Harderwijk.
Also this Sunday and Monday, the outside temperature is not optimal for working with silver and copper clay. It is very hot, especially since my studio is finished with a flat roof. Like Elma, Elsie is also determined to make the workshop into a great success.
Attached is a picture of the result, a beautiful ring with
the released New Mokume-Gane Marbling technique and a
pendant with a part Swirl New Mokume-Gane technique.
The last is not included in the certified training and
can therefore be seen as an extra exercise with a nice outcome.
Dear Elsie, thank you for coming, your charming presence and optimal deployment. Good luck with mastering the technique, use the explanations and instructions, so you get to know your own kiln. Only then can you achieve the same wonderful results. I have full confidence in it!
