Today we are going again towards our neighboring country.
The annual Art Clay Silver Instructors Day is held here.
Normally it will take place in the Netherlands on a location most convenient to drive up for everyone. We have quite a network, so in my view, the rise always should be better. I myself am actually going every year. I used to teach then one or more workshops.
We travel on in that direction with four ladies. Margit Borst-Topper from Dieverbrug has offered to drive and Renske Dussel, Shirley Wouters and I, hitch a ride. Also the four of us have chosen the same workshops, the
following choices were offered:
Double sided Donut Pendant
During this workshop Inge Verbruggen taught a bisque to be handled in silver clay and work larger and more economical using this technique. We learned several techniques to make bails and processed a small glass
During this workshop, we have to process polymer clay in a metal pendant and finish it with a glossy UV top coat. Our instructorfor this workshop was Lieve Koninckx.
Taught by Claudia Smets offering us the opportunity to process a non fireable object in a silver jewelry using prongs.
to see each other again.
As usual, everyone gets a goody bag filled with all sorts of useful and new gadgets in the field of Metal Clay.
Throughout the day, there is coffee, tea and soft drinks accompanied by cakes and cookies. At noon there are delicious sandwiches to eat. Around 17.00 we finish and say goodbye to the other colleagues. It's always nice to see everyone. Good to see that the colleagues that I have accompanied in the certified training courses have grown so much! That makes me so proud.
Thank you all again for a successful Instructors Day.
Margit, thanks again for the pick up and drop off at home and safe return trip to Temse!
