Carolien de Hoop has reserved an Art Clay Silver workshop. Together with her sister Inge and her mother Fanny she will discover the unique silver clay and design beautiful jewelry.
At 10.00 am they arrive in my studio, where we start the acquaintance with a cup of coffee.
Meanwhile, the ladies also express their wishes, view achievable designs and they all choose to design a ring.
The ring sizes are calculated and signed on the ring sticks.
Fanny opts for an open ring. She finds this more comfortable, than a closed one. At the two ends of the ring she places orange/red zirconia cabochons.
Inge makes a basic ring with lines and small balls. And Carolien creates a wide basic ring with texture, 3-odd lines and on the top what spheres as an ornament.
A white zirconia is then processed in the middle.
During the firing of the rings, we obviously took the time to have lunch. Delicious sandwiches and fresh orange juice. After lunch, the jewelry is brushed and polished. The results are beautiful, including Carolien's ring. She only brushed the design.
Carolien and Inge, I see the both of you again on November 24th. Have nice days and until then!
